Power BI Developer Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Create and optimize data models and transformations using Power Query.
- Write advanced DAX calculations for measures and KPIs.
- Work with business teams to gather requirements and deliver insights.
- Optimize report performance and manage large datasets.
- Connect Power BI to different data sources like SQL, Azure, and APIs.
- Ensure data security with Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Document solutions and provide user training/support.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 47 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in Business Intelligence.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI (Desktop, Service, Pro/Premium).
- Proficiency in DAX, SQL, and data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
- Experience with ETL/Power Query.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Good to Have
- Experience with Azure (Synapse, Data Lake, SQL DB, Data Factory).
- Knowledge of Python or R.
- Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, SSRS).
- Microsoft Power BI Certification.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
