Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Power BI Developer with experience in API integration and website embedding to design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports. The candidate should be able to integrate Power BI reports with web applications using REST APIs and embedding techniques while ensuring data accuracy, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Integrate Power BI reports into web applications using Power BI REST APIs and embedding techniques.
- Work with web development teams to embed Power BI dashboards into websites or portals.
- Develop and optimize DAX calculations, data models, and performance tuning.
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources such as SQL Server, APIs, cloud services, and data warehouses.
- Implement data refresh strategies and API-based data ingestion.
- Manage Power BI workspace, security roles, and report access permissions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data visualization solutions.
- Troubleshoot API integration issues, report performance, and data discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Embedded
- Experience with Power BI REST APIs for integration
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience integrating Power BI dashboards into websites or web applications
- Knowledge of API integration and RESTful services
- Familiarity with Azure services (Azure AD, Azure SQL, Azure API Management)
- Understanding of authentication methods (OAuth, token-based authentication)
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, or web frameworks for embedding reports
Good to Have
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, ETL pipelines, or data warehousing
- Experience with Tableau or other BI tools
- Knowledge of Power BI Embedded analytics in web applications
