Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, SQL, and dashboard development, with the ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical reporting solutions.
- Create and optimize data models, relationships, and calculations using DAX.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Connect Power BI to various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, APIs, SharePoint, and cloud platforms.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance to ensure report accuracy.
- Optimize report performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Create reusable datasets, dataflows, and report templates.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams to deliver reporting solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and report specifications.
- Support end users by providing training and resolving report-related issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor and maintain Power BI Service workspaces, gateways, and scheduled refreshes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data security and privacy standards.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Power BI development.
- Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modeling.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
- Experience creating complex dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and analytical reports.
- Knowledge of ETL concepts and data warehousing principles.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or similar databases.
- Understanding of data visualization best practices and BI reporting standards.
- Experience with report deployment, workspace management, and gateway configuration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
