Overview
We are looking for a skilled and business-oriented
Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Business Intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, ETL processes, and stakeholder management, with experience working across multiple data sources and business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking solutions using Power BI.
- Build scalable semantic models and optimize data models for reporting performance.
- Connect and integrate data from multiple sources such as databases, APIs, cloud platforms, Excel, and enterprise applications.
- Create complex calculations, measures, and KPIs using DAX.
- Develop and optimize ETL workflows using Power Query and other transformation tools.
- Implement data modeling best practices including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact and Dimension modeling.
- Configure and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and governance standards for secure reporting.
- Publish, manage, and maintain reports in Power BI Service and workspaces.
- Automate reporting workflows, refresh schedules, and alert mechanisms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into meaningful insights.
- Troubleshoot report performance issues and implement optimization strategies.
- Support data quality initiatives and maintain documentation for reporting solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics development.
- Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and database concepts (Joins, Views, Stored Procedures, Query Optimization).
- Experience working with cloud and enterprise data sources.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience with Paginated Reports.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with Power BI Service, workspace management, and report deployment.
- Knowledge of security implementation including RLS.
- Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good To Have
- Exposure to automation tools like Power Automate.
- Exposure to other BI tools such as Qlik Sense.
- Experience working in retail, supply chain, or analytics-driven environments.
Preferred Profile
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in fast-paced product organizations is preferred.
