Power BI Developer (India – U.S. Pacific Time Alignment) Location - Remote
Shift time : 8.30 PM start
We are seeking a skilled Power BI expert based in India to design, build, and manage scalable
reporting solutions. This role will develop dashboards and reports by integrating data from
multiple systems using APIs, SQL, and cloud data sources. The ideal candidate ensures data
accuracy, performance optimization, and actionable insights for the U.S.-based leadership.
Candidates must be comfortable working primarily within Pacific Time business hours,
communicate clearly in English with an understandable accent, and collaborate effectively with
cross-functional teams in a fast paced staffing environment. Strong experience in data
modeling, DAX, and automation is required, along with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
L2 Power BI Developer
About the role
We are looking for an experienced L2 Power BI Developer to join our data and analytics team.
In this
role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI solutions that support
workforce analytics, client reporting, and internal business intelligence across our staffing
operations.
Responsibilities
* Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and
client-facing delivery
* Develop and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and data models to
support workforce and placement analytics
* Build and maintain Power BI dataflows and datasets, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and
refresh reliability
* Collaborate with data engineers to connect Power BI to data sources including SQL Server,
Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and Excel
* Translate business requirements from recruiters, account managers, and operations teams
into clear, actionable visualizations
* Conduct peer reviews of junior developer work and provide mentorship and guidance
* Document report logic, data lineage, and model design for knowledge sharing
* Monitor report performance and proactively identify opportunities to optimize queries and
visuals
* Support deployment of reports across Power BI workspaces and manage row-level security
(RLS) configurations
* Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies as part of a broader analytics team
Required qualifications
* 3–5 years of experience in a Power BI development role
* Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language)
* Experience designing star and snowflake schema data models
