PURPOSE OF POSITION
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights for business decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in Power BI and experience with Zebra BI for creating impactful, data-driven visualizations. Close collaboration with colleagues responsible for data provisioning is essential to ensure high-quality and reliable data sources.
Additional technical strengths include hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction and transformation as well as Visual Studio for developing and maintaining analytical solutions.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Dashboard Development: Create dynamic and visually compelling dashboards using Power BI and Zebra BI visuals.
Data Modeling: Build and optimize data models to ensure efficient performance and accurate reporting.
Data Processing: Use SQL to extract, transform, and validate data from various sources.
Development Environment: Use Visual Studio for ETL processes, advanced data transformations, and analytical solution components.
Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders and data provisioning teams to gather requirements and ensure data availability.
Solution Proposals: Provide alternative approaches for connecting SAP data to Power BI, ensuring flexibility and scalability.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve report performance, including DAX query optimization.
Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for data models, processes, and reports.
Required Skills
Power BI Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Gateway.
Zebra BI: Experience in creating advanced visuals and storytelling dashboards using Zebra BI.
DAX and M Language: Strong understanding of DAX calculations and Power Query (M language).
SQL: Solid experience writing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and performance analysis.
Visual Studio: Familiarity with Visual Studio for BI development tasks such as ETL, tabular models, or automation.
Data Visualization: Ability to present data in a clear, impactful, and user-friendly manner.
Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
QualificationsQualifications
- Experience of 3-6 years as Power BI Developer
- Experience with SAP data integration into Power BI.
- Knowledge of Row-Level Security and governance in Power BI.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Clear and proactive communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong collaboration skills paired with the ability to work independently.
- Solid business understanding, especially when defining and interpreting KPIs.
- Very Good english communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience of interaction with international colleagues/ clients
