We are seeking an experienced Power BI Consultant to join a dynamic data analytics team on an
offshore WFH engagement. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on BI practitioner with deep
expertise in Power BI development, data modelling, and DAX, supported by strong engineering
fundamentals in Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Snowflake. This role demands someone who can
independently translate complex business requirements into actionable, visually compelling reports
and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and publish production-grade Power BI reports, dashboards, and
paginated reports aligned to business KPIs.
Write complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and time-intelligence functions to
support analytical requirements.
Build and optimise semantic/tabular data models using star/snowflake schemas with proper
relationships and hierarchies.
Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ingestion,
transformation, and orchestration.
Query, transform, and load data from SQL databases and Snowflake data warehouses using
optimised SQL.
Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure data quality, lineage, and
governance standards are upheld.
Perform performance tuning of reports and datasets, including query folding, aggregations,
and incremental refresh.
Implement row-level security (RLS) and object-level security (OLS) to enforce data access
controls.
Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and stakeholder review sessions
(overlapping time zone as required).
Maintain thorough documentation of data models, DAX logic, and pipeline configurations.

Qualifications & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related
field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and data analytics.
Demonstrated project delivery using Azure Data Factory and cloud data platforms.
Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) certification strongly preferred.
Additional Microsoft certifications (DP-203, AZ-900, AZ-104) considered favourably.
Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Government sector is an advantage.
