Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with a strong focus on designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and DAX, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with business users and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Report & Dashboard Development:

Design, develop, and maintain interactive, visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business requirements.

Data Modeling:

Build efficient and scalable data models using star and snowflake schemas to support reporting and analytics needs.

DAX & Advanced Calculations:

Create and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs for advanced analytics and insights.

SQL Development & Data Integration:

Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple data sources.

Data Analysis & Insights:

Analyze business data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support decision-making.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize Power BI reports, datasets, and queries to ensure fast refresh times and smooth user experience.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, explain insights, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Security & Access Management:

Implement row-level security (RLS), manage workspaces, datasets, and user access in Power BI Service.

Troubleshooting & Support:

Identify and resolve issues related to data refresh, gateways, DAX calculations, and report performance.

Documentation:

Create and maintain clear technical documentation for data models, reports, and business logic.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer.

Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, Power BI Service, and DAX.

Excellent SQL skills with experience in query optimization.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and BI best practices.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with business users and explain technical concepts clearly.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Experience with Azure or AWS data services.

Exposure to Python or R for data analysis.

Knowledge of ETL tools and data pipelines.

Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or QuickSight.
