About Position:
We are looking for a skilled Security Data Lake Engineer (Data Analytics) to join our Ford Credit Security Engineering and Operation team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between robust cloud data engineering and impactful business intelligence.

What You'll Do:
- Data Modelling Warehousing: Design, optimize, and maintain robust schema designs, partitioning, and clustering in Google BigQuery to ensure cost-effective, high-performance querying for downstream analytics.
- BI Visualization: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models using advanced DAX and Power Query to deliver clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Data Preparation Transformation: Develop and automate lightweight, scalable data transformation processes using SQL and Python to clean, structure, and prepare raw security data for reporting.
- Data Quality Governance: Implement and scale data quality, profiling, and auditing frameworks using GCP Data plex to ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of all reporting assets.
- API Source Integration: Design and maintain robust API integrations (e.g., ServiceNow, TrendMicro, and other platforms) to ingest critical logs and telemetry into the Data Lake.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with security operations, engineering, and leadership teams to translate complex security metrics and raw log data into intuitive visual KPIs and tactical dashboards.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Business Intelligence.
- Technical Skills Cloud Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing production-grade data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically utilizing native services such as Google Bigquery, Cloud Run/Functions, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
- Analytics BI: 3+ years of deep, hands-on experience building enterprise-grade Power BI solutions, including complex DAX calculations, data modelling, performance tuning, and workspace management.
- Programming Querying: High proficiency in advanced SQL (for complex data transformations, analytical queries, and modelling) and Python (for scripting, automation, and API integrations).
- Data Governance: Experience implementing data quality, metadata management, or data cataloguing tools (knowledge of GCP data plex is a strong plus).
- Professional Attributes Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to analyse complex datasets, identify trends, and translate raw data into business-friendly visual narratives.
- Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams in an agile environment.
