At TE
At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable, and more connected world.
Job Overview
This position is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise Power BI analytics solutions on TE's Databricks platform. The role partners closely with business stakeholders, product owners, data architects, analytics engineers, and governance teams to deliver intuitive dashboards, semantic models, governed reporting assets, and actionable insights that support business decisions.
In addition to Power BI development, the role contributes to Databricks-based data engineering activities, including data transformation, analytical data modeling, optimization of reporting datasets, and migration of legacy logic into scalable cloud-based solutions. The position owns the end-to-end analytics lifecycle from requirements gathering and data modeling through dashboard development, deployment, performance optimization, governance, documentation, production support, and continuous improvement.

- Connect Power BI with Databricks SQL Warehouses, Delta Lake tables, governed views, and composite models.
- Evaluate and optimize data models, including star, snowflake, and flattened structures, for performance, usability, and scalability.
- Design intuitive report experiences including drill-through, bookmarks, tooltips, conditional formatting, mobile layouts, accessibility, and user-friendly navigation.
- Tune report and semantic model performance using Power BI Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, VertiPaq Analyzer, aggregations, query diagnostics, and incremental refresh.
- Implement row-level security, object-level security, workspace security, app distribution, and governance controls.
- Publish and manage Power BI workspaces, semantic models, reports, apps, refresh schedules, gateways, and deployment pipelines.
- Develop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder where required.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, regression testing, UAT support, troubleshooting, user enablement, and production support.
- Document report specifications, semantic model designs, KPI definitions, measure catalogs, data dictionaries, support guides, and reusable reporting standards.
Databricks & Cloud Data Engineering, Supporting Responsibility
Expected emphasis: approximately 30 to 40 percent of the role

- Design and develop AWS S3 and Delta Lake-based analytical data solutions using Databricks.
- Build and maintain ETL and ELT data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and transformation processes that support reporting and analytics needs.
- Collaborate with data architects to implement enterprise ingestion, transformation, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with engineers to define gold-layer datasets and ensure data quality, lineage, and business-rule consistency.
- Support Unity Catalog, Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake table design, governed views, and cloud data warehouse design patterns.
- Tune Spark SQL, Databricks notebooks, SQL Warehouses, pipelines, and table structures to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support CI/CD, Git, version control, release automation, DevOps practices, job scheduling, backup coordination, and production support.
Collaboration, Delivery, and Governance
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, roadmap planning, architecture reviews, sprint activities, production readiness reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
- Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, product owners, data architects, analytics engineers, governance teams, and support teams.
