We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Architect to design and implement advanced business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Power BI development, semantic modeling, and performance optimization, combined with strong visualization skills and a strategic mindset. This role requires collaboration across business and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performance BI solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust Power BI semantic models and implement advanced DAX calculations for complex business scenarios.
- Optimize data models and reports for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Create visually compelling and user-friendly dashboards that align with business requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all BI solutions.
- Work within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, leveraging its capabilities for integrated analytics.
- Partner with data engineering teams to integrate data from various sources using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and other ETL tools.
- Utilize Python notebooks for advanced analytics and automation tasks when needed.
- Stay current with emerging BI technologies and recommend improvements to existing architecture.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of overall experience in Power BI development and BI architecture.
- At least 6+ years of hands-on experience in semantic modeling, model fine-tuning, and advanced DAX.
- Proven track record in report/model optimization and performance tuning.
- Strong skills in visual selection, dashboard design, and storytelling with data.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational data modeling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
