Position: Power BI Analyst / Developer
Location: Chennai
Work Mode: Onsite/Hybrid/Remote
Shift Timing: 3.00AM - 12.00PM PST (US Pacific time)
Engagement Type: Full Time
About The Role
We are looking for a skilled Power BI Analyst cum Developer to design, build, and deliver insightful dashboards and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into meaningful reports and help drive data-based decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Build robust data models, DAX measures, and calculated columns
- Connect, transform, and clean data using Power Query / M
- Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, APIs, cloud systems)
- Analyze business data, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and follow BI governance standards
- Optimize dashboard performance and schedule data refreshes
- Collaborate with business teams to understand needs and deliver solutions
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development
- Excellent knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Good To Have
- Experience with Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, SQL DB)
- Knowledge of Python / R for analytics
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema)
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
