Power BI Admin

• Install, configure, and maintain Power BI Report Server, Tableau Server, and preferably IBM Cognos BI across environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
• Manage user access, permissions, and authentication integrations (Active Directory, SAML, OAuth, etc.).
• Perform version upgrades and patching of BI tools, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning as needed.
• Automate maintenance tasks such as backups, log purging, and health checks.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy dashboards and reports securely and efficiently.
• Provide support to BI developers and end-users for environment-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Work in coordination with global teams, primarily during US working hours.
• Required Skills Experience
• 3+ years of experience as a BI Administrator.
• Strong hands-on experience in Power BI Report Server, Tableau Server administration.
• Good knowledge and working experience in Cognos (preferred, not mandatory).
• Experience with installation, configuration, upgrades, migration, and troubleshooting of BI platforms.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux (optional), SQL Server, and other database systems.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols: Active Directory, SSO, Kerberos, SAML, etc.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and monitoring.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and support stakeholders in the US time zone.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos Administration.
• Understanding of networking concepts related to BI tool access (load balancing, firewalls, etc.).
