Experience
- 3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with performance tuning, query analysis, and PostgreSQL internals.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and upgrade procedures.
- Proficiency in implementing replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL security, authentication, and access control.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring tools like pgAdmin, pg_stat_statements, Prometheus + Grafana, etc.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with cloud-hosted PostgreSQL (AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
