Postgres / MYSQL / AS DBA

Job Responsibilities and Skills

• Experience with AWS CLI and AWS RDS.
• Standard DBA operations such as monitoring, query optimization, cost optimization, tuning, backup/restore, and blue/green deployments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exposure to agile practices and working with agile software development teams.
• Availability for pager-duty on call.

Nice to Have

• Scripting and/or programming experience to automate standard DB tasks/operations.
• Cross-region replication in AWS and/or other cloud environments.
• Experience with data quality and data observability aspects of data management and working with the data analytics team.
• Knowledge of Percona toolkit.
• Knowledge of pg/SQL.
