Postgres Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and manage AWS RDS Postgres environments.
• Work with database migration teams and Murex reporting SMEs.
• Migrate SQL queries from Sybase to Postgres.
• Validate post-migration reporting and ensure query performance.
• Perform technical analysis, solution design, development, and unit testing.
• Participate in defect resolution across production and test environments.
• Take end-to-end ownership of tasks with Business Analysts and Testing teams.

Mandatory Skills:

• 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator/Architect.
• Extensive AWS RDS Postgres expertise (backups, data migrations, automation).
• Hands-on experience in Sybase to Postgres migration.
• PL/pgSQL coding and debugging skills.
• AWS migration expertise, especially for database technologies.
• Financial services experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Murex reporting and Datamart knowledge (a significant plus).
