Woxsen University invites applications for a unique Dual-Track Faculty Appointment at the intersection of advanced research and pedagogical excellence. This role is designed for exceptional early-career scholars who seek to bridge the gap between high-impact knowledge production and the development of future global leaders.
The successful candidate will hold a joint title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow (focused on the development of an independent, internationally visible research program) and Assistant Professor of Management (focused on research-led instruction and graduate mentorship).
Primary Responsibilities
I. Research & Knowledge Production (70%)
- High-Impact Scholarship: Execute a sophisticated research agenda targeting Elite journals (UTD-24, FT-50, and ABS 4/4* rankings).
- Grant Leadership: Identify and secure external funding from national (e.g., ICSSR, DST) and international (e.g., Horizon Europe, NSF) agencies.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Lead initiatives within Woxsen's Centers of Excellence (CoEs), specifically focusing on domains such as Algorithmic Accountability, Institutional Resilience, or Circular Economy Networks.
- Intellectual Leadership: Present findings at top-tier conferences (AOM, SMS, EGOS) and contribute to the global academic discourse.
II. Pedagogical Innovation & Mentorship (20%)
- Research-Led Teaching: Deliver a limited, high-value teaching load in the MBA and Executive Education programs, translating complex research into actionable management frameworks.
- Doctoral Mentorship: Co-supervise Ph.D. scholars and mentor junior research assistants, fostering a culture of methodological rigor and ethical inquiry.
- Curriculum Design: Integrate emerging technologies (GenAI, Blockchain, Predictive Analytics) into the management curriculum.
III. Academic Service & Governance (10%)
- Institutional Building: Contribute to the School's accreditation journeys (AACSB, AMBA) and participate in faculty governance committees.
- Global Advocacy: Represent Woxsen in international research consortia and industry-academic forums.
Required Qualifications
- Academic Pedigree: A Ph.D. from a world-renowned, research-intensive university (top 200 QS/THE ranking preferred).
- Publication Record: Demonstrated ability to publish in Q1/ABDC A* journals or evidence of a strong pipeline in elite outlets.
- Methodological Mastery: Advanced competence in quantitative (econometrics, SEM), qualitative (ethnography, case study), or computational (network analysis, NLP) methods.
- Vision: A coherent and ambitious research agenda that addresses Grand Challenges in management, technology, or society.
