A well-established CBSE school in South West Delhi is looking to appoint an experienced PGT Chemistry Teacher to lead Chemistry instruction for senior secondary students.
This is a senior academic role suited for an educator who is passionate about science education and committed to building strong conceptual understanding in students while preparing them for CBSE board examinations and future scientific pursuits.
Role Overview:
As a PGT Chemistry teacher, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Chemistry instruction in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. The role requires strong subject expertise, the ability to explain complex scientific concepts with clarity, and the capability to guide students through both theoretical and practical aspects of Chemistry. You will play a key role in fostering analytical thinking and scientific curiosity among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry to secondary and senior secondary students as per CBSE guidelines
- Design, prepare, and deliver structured and engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with the CBSE syllabus
- Conduct and supervise laboratory experiments and demonstrations while ensuring strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols
- Evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, project work, and internal assessments
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support student academic improvement
- Focus on building strong conceptual clarity and prepare students effectively for CBSE board examinations
- Encourage curiosity, scientific inquiry, and critical thinking within the classroom
- Provide remedial support to students who require additional academic assistance
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks, and academic progress
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings (PTMs), school activities, and faculty meetings
- Stay updated with developments in Chemistry and attend CBSE training programs as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc (Hons) Chemistry, MSc Chemistry, and B.Ed. from one of the top universities in India (full-time programmes only)
- Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience teaching Chemistry in a reputed school in a similar capacity
