Posit Platform Operation Engineer

Posit Platform Administration & Operations

• Administer, support, and operationalize Posit Workbench, Posit Connect, and Posit Package Manager environments

 • Support R version lifecycle management, runtime configuration, and operational stability

 • Manage package repositories, package, and reproducibility workflows

 • Support enterprise deployment for analytical applications and Shiny-based solutions

 for GxP analytical applications

 • Assist with platform upgrades, patching coordination, runtime reliability, and operational sustainment activities

 • Provide day-to-day operational support for enterprise Posit analytical environments, including troubleshooting across R runtime, package, Linux, authentication, storage, and deployment layers

Analytical Application Enablement

• Support onboarding and deployment of R/Shiny analytical applications into enterprise Posit environments

 • Assist application teams with deployment troubleshooting, runtime dependencies, package compatibility, and operational readiness

 • Support Git/GitHub integration and deployment workflows

 • Assist with renv and reproducibility patterns

Linux / Cloud Integration

• Support Linux-based enterprise analytical environments (RHEL preferred)

 • Assist with SSL, SAML/AAD integration, authentication, and role-based access patterns

 • Support cloud-hosted analytical environments across Azure and AWS

 • Support enterprise analytical compute environments across AWS and Azure-hosted Posit platforms

 • Coordinate with Infrastructure, Security, Database, and Cloud Engineering teams

 • Familiarity with scalable analytical compute environments and distributed Posit runtime architectures is beneficial

Governance Support

• Support regulated analytical platform operational standards, qualification, and operational readiness activities

 • Support DEV / VAL / PROD platform promotion, baseline verification, and controlled deployment processes

 • Contribute to evolving Posit CoE operational processes, governance standards, and reusable platform patterns

The ideal candidate is:

 • Operationally strong and hands-on

 • Comfortable working across platform, infrastructure, cloud, and analytical application layers

 • Able to support both enterprise platform governance and analytical onboarding activities

 • Collaborative across infrastructure, security, cloud, database, and analytical teams

 • Interested in building scalable, supportable, and governed enterprise analytical platforms

 • Comfortable working in evolving enterprise analytical platform environments with both operational and engineering responsibilities

Strategic Context

This role supports the ongoing expansion and operational support of Incyte's enterprise Posit platform ecosystem across R&D. The position contributes to scalable, governed, and supportable analytical platform operations supporting regulated and non-regulated analytical workloads across cloud-hosted enterprise environments.
