Job Description

The Role:

•A part of Portfolio, Licensing and NPI Team, leading specific portion of portfolio management, new launch asset identification, opportunity evaluation, techno-commercial due-diligence and facilitating commercial discussion for nomination of the products in the region (India).

Key Job Description:

•Lead portfolio development initiatives through Identifying gaps & targets by continuous tracking of global approvals in key markets, Product Portfolio databases, partner products by conducting IP/Regulatory and medico-marketing potential assessment of drugs/devices/delivery systems in key therapy areas and new potential areas.

•Lead and execute long term therapy / cluster portfolio strategy and roadmap exercise for key TAs.

•Detailed evaluation & Due-diligence for potential new launch opportunities from own, internal and external sources for fitment, business case preparation including sales forecasting, pricing analysis & IP/Regulatory scenarios, business fitment/commercialization planning, commercial deal negotiation, legal contract negotiation & closure.

•Meet regularly with consumers and HCPs/KOLs to validate launch hypothesis and success

•Ensure pipeline sufficiency by periodic refresh exercise and planning innovation new products, together with contingency, to meet India business objectives.

•Keeping abreast of market trends, patent landscapes and competitor moves by utilizing the market intelligence, CI databases.

•To facilitate key strategic projects including ongoing and new product launch opportunity, drug delivery platform, differentiated generics for India market

•Product Life Cycle Management to ensure commercial success.

•Working closely with F&D, Regulatory, IP, Business & Commercial Excellence teams to ensure successful business case development & launch of products/platform.

•Prepare Portfolio Gap Analysis and bridging plan, support make vs buy decisions to bring product alive. Propose New Therapy Area, New Segment, New Technology Platform etc. to make portfolio relevant for future growth

•Prepare & Present progress to Senior Leadership through dashboards. Flag risk and propose risk-mitigation plans

•Supporting New Product Development (NPD) function on collaboration initiates to ensure milestone achievements.

•Propose scalable digital tool / solution and drive adoption to support portfolio requirements

Eligibility Criteria:

ØQualification: B. Pharm + M. Pharma from premier Institute having worked in Portfolio role

ØYears of Experience: Minimum 4-5 years with minimum 2-3 years experience in Portfolio function, preferably India region

Essential Skills & Experience:

ØExperience in NPI, Portfolio, BD & Licensing role with pharmaceutical drugs for key pharma market

ØKnowledge of novel therapies and Experience in identifying source of new product launches

ØTo be able to sail through complex environment and challenging project management tasks, Identify bottlenecks, suggest solutions and make sure that necessary actions are taken inside and outside of the company

ØInfluencing multi-stakeholder and diverse groups internally and externally (suppliers, contractors, advisers) leading to strong and trusting relationships

ØExperience working in an international work environment across several time zones

ØExcellent command over IT skills (esp. Excel and Power Point) and communication (in written and spoken English) confident liaising with all levels of authority and able to navigate cultural differences with ease.

ØTechnical background with knowledge of steps involved in pharmaceutical product development, regulatory pathway of Developed/Emerging Markets & India.

ØWorking knowledge of Financial business case preparation & evaluation metrics/tools like break even, NPV, IRR analysis.
