As a Portfolio Implementation professional within our Equities (EMAP) team, you will support senior portfolio managers in the analysis and execution of EMAP Equity Investment strategies, ensuring disciplined day-to-day portfolio implementation and strong cross-team partnership across J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM).

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the investment process to support portfolio implementation activities.
  • Execute buy/sell decisions by routing orders across equities, futures, and treasuries.
  • Monitor cash flows across accounts to support timely funding and rebalancing needs.
  • Communicate with trading teams to coordinate execution, resolve issues, and confirm trade intent.
  • Oversee futures hedging activity and track hedge effectiveness versus portfolio exposures.
  • Track portfolio positioning, market news, and trade activity to support daily decision-making.
  • Reconcile position and cash discrepancies across systems and escalate exceptions appropriately.
  • Validate adherence to account guidelines and investment restrictions to support compliance.
  • Review investment performance and implementation outcomes to identify drivers and anomalies.
  • Collaborate on portfolio management projects (research initiatives, fundamentals, valuation, transitions, and TCA).
  • Support stakeholder coordination across JPMAM by providing clear updates, timelines, and deliverables.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Graduate/postgraduate withat least 5 years of experience in investment process support or financial products.
  • Apply strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exhibit attention to detail and a methodical approach to execution.
  • Maintain a strong interest in financial markets and portfolio mechanics.
  • Communicate effectively with strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Execute against defined objectives with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Collaborate as a team player across functions and geographies.
  • Understand core financial services concepts and market instruments.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Hold experience supporting equity portfolios and/or derivatives overlays (futures/hedging).
  • Bring familiarity with EM investing concepts (country, FX, liquidity, and market structure).
  • Demonstrate proficiency with portfolio analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Excel-based workflows).
  • Show experience with transaction cost analysis and/or complex account transitions.
  • Pursue CFA and/or an advanced degree (MBA) as a plus.
