Job Description

  1. Experience Required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Port & Marine Engineering.

Required Skills & Software Knowledge

Must Have

  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Hands-on experience with PLAXIS
  • Knowledge of Wallop / SPOOKs

Preferred

  • Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional
  • Bentley MicroStation
  • Autodesk AutoCAD

Educational & Professional Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience in preparing engineering design reports and technical documents.
  • Good understanding of marine and port engineering principles.
  • Experience in:
  • Port planning
  • Topside load calculations
  • Wave and ship impact analysis
  • Design of marine and port structures

Experience in Designing

The candidate should have experience in designing or working on:

  • Port terminals
  • Locks
  • Navigation channels
  • Quay structures such as:
  • Sheet pile walls
  • Combi walls
  • Pile deck structures
  • Bollards and fender systems

Additional Experience (Preferred)

  • Geotechnical structures
  • Steel structures in marine environments
  • Concrete structures in marine environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrodynamic and coastal engineering calculations.
  • Carry out structural and stability analyses.
  • Prepare design reports and technical documentation.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout project execution.
  • Support project planning and execution activities.
  • Develop and improve engineering calculation and planning tools used within the department.

Projects You Will Work On

You will be involved in a variety of exciting projects, including:

  • Port expansion and renovation projects
  • Marine structures made of steel and concrete
  • Concept and feasibility studies
  • FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed design
  • Preparation of tender documents and support during tender processes
  • Construction support and site supervision

  • The team is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, but projects are carried out across the Nordic region and occasionally internationally.
  • Clients include:
  • Contractors
  • Municipalities
  • Private developers
  • Government agencies
  • Public and private organizations
