About The Role

We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build smarter, more accurate health AI — and we need population health experts to make it happen. As a Population Health Informaticist, you'll apply your expertise in public health data to evaluate, improve, and inform AI systems designed to understand health trends, disparities, and outcomes at scale.

This is a flexible, fully remote contract role where your domain knowledge directly shapes the future of AI in healthcare.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to population health data, epidemiology, and public health analytics for accuracy and quality
  • Review and assess data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting frameworks produced or described by AI systems
  • Identify errors, gaps, or misleading conclusions in AI-generated health insights
  • Provide structured expert feedback on how well AI interprets and communicates population-level health information
  • Help translate complex health data concepts into clear, actionable guidance that improves AI performance
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Experienced working with healthcare, public health, or population-level datasets
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of health metrics, surveillance systems, and epidemiological methods
  • Proficient in data visualization and reporting tools — comfortable evaluating dashboards and data summaries
  • Able to identify when health data is being misrepresented, oversimplified, or incorrectly interpreted
  • Clear and structured written communicator
  • Self-motivated and reliable in an independent, remote work environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation workflows
  • Background in public health informatics, epidemiology, or health data science
  • Familiarity with population health platforms or EHR/claims data environments
  • Prior work in AI, machine learning, or clinical decision support systems

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top-tier research labs and institutions
  • Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work at your own pace
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Apply your public health expertise to meaningful work that shapes how AI understands human health
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
