Cataract is the leading cause of preventable blindness globally. After cataract surgery, majority of patients are dependent on spectacles or LASIK surgery for good vision. Nayam Innovations is a VC funded clinical research stage Company developing a novel patient personalized freeform optics Intraocular lens (IOL) to give spectacle free vision to patients after their cataract surgery. The lens is designed to neutralize the optical aberrations in the visual path of the user.

The Company was founded in December 2013 and is located in Pune. The team is a mix of scientists, engineers and business development professionals hired from leading universities and business organizations globally

JOB DESCRIPTION AND SALARY RANGE

Research and development of Intraocular lens.

• Synthesize and optimize material formulation to achieve targeted product properties.

• Develop and optimize the IOL manufacturing process.

• Work in Cross functional teams to attain targets and ensure compliance to deadlines.

• Maintain experimental records as per Company's Quality Management System.

• Maintain detailed inventory records of consumables in the laboratory.

• Sound understanding of various material characterization techniques such as Uv-Vis, FTIR, DSC, TGA and Rheology.

• Salary range from INR 9-11 lakhs per annum

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Master's degree in Polymer chemistry, engineering or relevant field for reputed institute.

• 0-2 Years of experience.

• Proactive approach to problem solving.

• Team player and a people's person

• Hard working individual with process driven approach
