Role Description
IPD Media Networks is seeking a full-time, remote Political Editor for its Tamil division. The role involves researching, writing, and editing political content for the Tamil audience, maintaining high standards of accuracy and objectivity. The Political Editor will oversee political reporting and analysis, develop impactful stories, and collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of timely content across digital platforms. Additional responsibilities include monitoring political trends, verifying facts, and maintaining a consistent editorial voice aligned with journalistic ethics.
This is not salaried job. This is a partnership role, meaning you get revenue sharing based on your contribution.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Politics and political processes with an ability to analyze and interpret political trends and events.
- Exceptional Writing, Storytelling, and content creation skills in Tamil, with a focus on clarity and engagement.
- Proficiency in Editorial processes, including reviewing, editing, and ensuring alignment with ethical journalistic standards.
- Background in Journalism and reporting, demonstrating a proven ability to produce high-quality political content.
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Tamil language and familiarity with the Tamil-speaking audience is a must. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
