Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Content Writer proficient in Hindi, and English and can comprehend Marathi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality, politically-focused content, translating complex ideas accurately, providing real-time commentary, and drafting concise summaries and social media posts.

Key Responsibilities

Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in Hindi, and English is mandatory, with the ability to seamlessly switch between languages.

Accurate Translation & Commentary:

• Comprehend and analyse content in Marathi or Hindi.
• Accurately translate the core subject matter into precise and nuanced English or Hindi or both
• Include commentary and annotations on the translated material, where required.

Content Creation & Summarisation:

• Write short video scripts and short-form content based in English or Hindi
• Efficiently summarise content from Marathi or Hindi in concise, impactful language (e.g., for reports or briefs).

Real-Time & Digital Communication:

• Provide real-time synopsis on live events (e.g., political broadcasts, press conferences) in English or Hindi
• Draft engaging feedback and social media responses, including Tweets, in English or Hindi

Political Acumen:

• Displays a strong understanding of current affairs, particularly pertaining to Maharashtra state politics.

Qualifications and Skills

Mandatory Linguistic Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills: English, Hindi

Ideal candidate to also display comprehension of Marathi

Experience: Previous experience in content writing, journalism, or a related field is required.

Preferred Background: A background in political writing, journalism, or public policy analysis is highly preferred.

Political Knowledge: Deep and up-to-date knowledge of the political landscape and current events in Maharashtra is essential.
