Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Policy and Communications Specialist. The individual will be responsible for the foll
- Policy Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on state and national policies, legislative developments, and socio-economic trends to inform client objectives and communication strategies.
- Policy Monitoring & Intelligence: Track real-time policy developments, budget announcements, regulatory reforms, and media narratives that impact clients, translating insights into timely communications and advocacy actions.
- Strategic Policy Advisory & Advocacy: Deliver actionable policy insights to clients and support the design of integrated advocacy and communications campaigns.
- Content Development & Communications: Draft high-quality policy briefs, government submissions, consultation responses, press releases, opinion articles, social media content, and stakeholder presentations tailored for government, industry, and public audiences in English and Kannada.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with state government officials, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and media to advance client policy and communications goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Law, Journalism/Mass Communication, or related fields.
- Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on experience in policy research, government affairs, public affairs, or strategic communications.
- Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English and Kannada (both spoken and written).
- Strong research and analytical abilities, proven experience in stakeholder management and public relations, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of Karnataka's policy ecosystem is essential, including familiarity with Bengaluru's key local issues such as urban governance, infrastructure, sustainability, mobility, water management, and tech-industry policy.
