Position Summary
We are seeking a Technical Solution Engineer with strong experience across Databricks, AWS, GCP, and Azure. The role is client-facing and requires the ability to present technical solutions to prospects and clients with clarity and confidence. While you wont be writing production code, your coding background will help you deeply understand user pain points, design feasible solutions, and engage credibly with technical stakeholders.
Strategic Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Storytelling :
- Present technical solutions in discovery workshops, proposals, and executive meetings.
- Translate complex architectures into simple, outcome-driven narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Serve as the technical voice in pre-sales conversations, ensuring feasibility and clarity.
Solution Design & Cloud Expertise
- Provide technical leadership across multi-cloud environments (Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Review and design solution architectures that align with client requirements and Polestar capabilities.
- Support pre-sales leaders in proposals, SoWs, and solution through Technical Depth :
- Leverage prior coding experience (Python, SQL, or Scala) to empathize with client teams and address real-life engineering challenges.
- Bridge the gap between high-level solution architecture and hands-on technical realities.
Collaboration & Knowledge Building
- Work closely with solution architects, pre-sales leads, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility.
- Contribute to reusable knowledge assets (reference architectures, demo scripts, technical FAQs).
Required Experience
- 6 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, solution engineering, or pre-sales with strong client-facing exposure.
- Hands-on expertise with :
- Databricks (Delta Lake, MLflow, Spark)
- AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3, SageMaker)
- GCP (BigQuery, Vertex AI, GCS)
- Azure (Synapse, ADF, Purview, Databricks)
- Strong coding background in Python, SQL, or Scala (experience required for credibility, not daily development).
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; confident in engaging CxO-level stakeholders.
- Proven ability to simplify technical content into clear business outcomes.
Soft Skills
- Prior experience in pre-sales/RFP support and executive client presentations.
- Exposure to enterprise data governance, analytics, or AI/ML solutioning.
- High accountability and ownership, with ability to balance multiple opportunities.
