Podcast Content Writer

We are seeking a curious, tenacious and audiosavvy Podcast Content Journalist to join our production team. In this role, you will be the editorial backbone of our podcast properties. You won't just report the news; you will find the human stories behind it, conduct deep-dive research, interview key subjects and translate complex topics into compelling, highly narrative audio scripts.

The ideal candidate thinks in soundscapes, understands how to build tension and empathy through voice and maintains the highest standards of journalistic integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Story Conception & Pitching: Brainstorm, research and pitch high impact story ideas, investigative arcs or episode concepts that align with our show's voice and audience.

Deep Dive Research & Reporting: Conduct thorough investigative research, fact check all data points, request public records and vet sources to ensure absolute accuracy and editorial integrity.

Interviewing & Field Work: Identify, pre interview and book compelling guests. Conduct pre recorded or live interviews, steering conversations to extract powerful anecdotes and clear explanations.

Audio Scriptwriting & Narrative Architecture: Outline and write comprehensive, narrative driven episode scripts. Master the art of writing for the ear using conversational prose, clear pacing and strategic placement of ambient sound or music cues.

Editorial Collaboration: Work closely with the Show Host, Lead Producer and Sound Designers to refine episode pacing, address editorial gaps and ensure the final mix matches the script's emotional beats.

Digital Adaptation: Write engaging show notes, episode summaries and digital articles to accompany audio releases and maximize SEO reach.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years of experience in journalism, multimedia reporting or narrative podcast production (e.g., NPR style reporting, long-form investigative audio).

Audio Fluency: A deep understanding of how narrative audio works. While you don't need to be a master audio engineer, you should know how to record clean tape in the field and spot edit.

Journalistic Ethics: Uncompromising commitment to fact-checking, balanced reporting, sourcing protection and media law (libel, copyright, etc.).

Writing Excellence: A proven portfolio of writing conversational scripts that translate dense or complex topics into gripping audio narratives.

Project Management: Ability to manage tight production deadlines for multiple episodes simultaneously without sacrificing editorial quality.

Salary

₹3 lakhs – ₹7 lakhs (Annual)

9.30 AM – 6.30 PM

Working Days

Monday – Friday (Saturday will be Work From Home)
