Job Description
As a
Project Management Intern (PMO) at ERIC Robotics, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects across multiple engineering domains. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Electronics, Software, ML) to ensure seamless coordination, timely delivery, and structured project execution.
You will gain hands-on exposure to
real-world robotics project lifecycle management, including planning, tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication. This role is designed to build strong fundamentals in
project execution, operations, and decision-making in a high-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure resource alignment and task clarity
- Track project progress and ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope
- Support in maintaining structured project trackers and execution dashboards
Execution Monitoring & Coordination
- Monitor daily/weekly project progress and highlight delays or bottlenecks
- Ensure alignment between teams and manage interdependencies across functions
- Facilitate regular sync-ups and ensure smooth execution flow across teams
- Support real-time updates of project status and execution metrics
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify potential risks in project execution and maintain a risk tracking system
- Assist in defining mitigation strategies to avoid delays or scope deviations
- Track and follow up on open issues until resolution
- Support troubleshooting efforts to maintain project continuity
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Assist in preparing project status reports and updates
- Document meeting outcomes (MOMs) and ensure proper follow-ups
- Act as a coordination bridge between teams and management
- Ensure transparency in communication across all project stakeholders
Process & Documentation Management
- Maintain structured documentation for all ongoing projects
- Support in improving PMO processes, workflows, and tracking systems
- Ensure all project data is updated and organized in centralized tools
- Contribute to building scalable and efficient project management practices
Team Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand technical progress and challenges
- Support alignment between planning and execution phases
- Assist in resolving coordination gaps and improving team efficiency
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performance work environment
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electronics / Robotics / Computer Science)
- Strong interest in project management, operations, and execution
- Good understanding of engineering workflows and technical project lifecycles
- Proficiency in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, Jira, or similar
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
Good To Have (Optional Skills)
- Exposure to robotics, automation, or manufacturing projects
- Basic understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Experience in project coordination, internships, or team-based execution
- Familiarity with project tracking and resource planning tools
