PMO Analyst

About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical PMO Analyst / PMO Executive to support project governance, resource management, revenue tracking, financial reporting, and business reporting activities. The role will involve working closely with project managers, delivery teams, finance, HR, and leadership stakeholders to ensure effective project tracking, accurate reporting, resource planning, and timely execution of PMO activities. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Advanced Excel, dashboard creation, project reporting, Gross Margin (GM) analysis, revenue forecasting, resource utilization, and stakeholder coordination. Key Responsibilities PMO & Project Governance Support PMO governance activities across multiple projects and accounts. Track project milestones, resource allocation, utilization, risks, and dependencies. Maintain project trackers, documentation, and governance reports. Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely updates on project status and resource requirements. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for employees onto and from projects. Support project allocation activities based on business requirements. Reporting & Dashboard Management Design, develop, and maintain management dashboards using Advanced Excel, Power Query, and reporting tools. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for leadership and stakeholders. Use advanced Excel formulas and reporting techniques to analyze and present business data. Automate reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency through advanced Excel techniques. Present relevant insights and trends through structured reports and dashboards for senior management. Revenue & Gross Margin Management Track and monitor revenue performance across projects and accounts. Analyze Gross Margin (GM) at both individual and account levels. Support revenue forecasting and provisioning for the upcoming quarter. Identify potential revenue leakages and risks related to project closures, SOW expirations, and bench resources. Monitor the potential impact of SOW expiry on revenue. Assess and highlight revenue impact arising from bench resources. Work with relevant stakeholders to support resource utilization and profitability. Resource Management Monitor bench strength, resource utilization, and deployment opportunities. Track Statement of Work (SOW) end dates and proactively highlight potential revenue impact. Support workforce planning and resource forecasting activities. Track resource movement across projects based on business requirements. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of resources. Data Analysis & Process Improvement Consolidate data from multiple sources and ensure accuracy and reliability. Perform data validation and reconciliation activities. Analyze project and business data to identify trends, gaps, and potential risks. Identify opportunities to improve PMO reporting and operational processes. Recommend automation and efficiency improvements using Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools. Required Skills & Qualifications 4–6 years of experience in PMO, Project Reporting, Resource Management, MIS Reporting, or Business Operations. Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including: Pivot Tables XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP INDEX-MATCH Power Query Advanced Excel Formulas Dashboards & Visualization Macros / VBA – preferred Strong understanding of: Gross Margin (GM) calculations Individual-level vs. account-level GM Revenue forecasting and provisioning Resource utilization metrics Project financial tracking Experience in preparing dashboards and reports for senior management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Preferred Skills Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools. Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies. Familiarity with MS Project, Jira, or project tracking applications. Understanding of IT services, staffing, or technology delivery environments. Relevant certifications in Excel, PMO, or Project Management are an added advantage. Key Competencies The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to: Understand and analyze Gross Margin at individual and account levels. Prepare revenue forecasts and provisioning plans for at least the next quarter. Build dashboards and reports using Advanced Excel for senior management. Use advanced Excel formulas and reporting tools for business analysis. Identify the potential revenue impact of SOW expiry and project closures. Monitor the impact of bench resources on revenue. Track resource utilization and support workforce planning. Coordinate effectively with stakeholders for project onboarding and offboarding. Provide meaningful business insights through accurate data analysis and reporting. Identify opportunities for reporting automation and process improvement.
