Job Purpose

The Project Monitoring and Assurance Group (PMAG) Lead for the water business is responsible for aligning projects with strategic objectives, ensuring effective project planning and execution, managing contracts, optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and providing timely reporting to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

Business Strategy Alignment:

Lead the Project Monitoring and Assurance Group (PMAG) for the water business, ensuring all activities align with the organization's strategic objectives

Develop and implement robust project management practices to monitor progress, anticipate risks, and execute corrective actions as necessary

Foster seamless coordination between site teams and Head Office (HO) to drive project progress and effective cost management

Project Planning, Control, And Execution

Oversee and manage detailed project planning, including site-level construction and resource planning, to ensure projects are completed ahead of schedule

Ensure strict adherence to approved project timelines and budgets, with targeted cost savings

Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and digital systems to streamline project execution and minimize manual intervention

Contract Administration And Stakeholder Management

Manage all aspects of contract administration, ensuring maximum benefits from client contracts and minimizing costs in subcontractor agreements

Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and execution of contracts, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring prompt and efficient communication to address issues and maximize claims

Budget, Cost Management, And Risk Mitigation

Maintain tight control over project budgets, continuously seeking opportunities for cost optimization and risk mitigation

Identify potential risks throughout the project lifecycle, implementing strategies to address and mitigate them promptly

Ensure that all projects meet the financial targets set, with cost-saving measures implemented at all levels

Management Information Systems (MIS)

Establish and maintain a comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) for timely and accurate dissemination of project information to internal and external stakeholders

Ensure regular, structured reporting of project progress, including time, cost, and critical details, to all relevant parties, enabling informed decision-making and effective stakeholder engagement
