Job Title: PM – Detailing (UK Standards)

Department: Engineering / BIM / Structural Detailing

Mode of Work: Hybrid

Job Purpose:

The PM – Detailing will be responsible for managing structural detailing projects aligned with UK standards, ensuring quality deliverables, team coordination, and timely project completion. The role involves supervising detailing teams, coordinating with clients, and maintaining compliance with project specifications and British standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Manage and supervise structural detailing projects following UK standards and client requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of detailing drawings, models, and documentation.
• Monitor project schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients for project clarifications.

Technical Responsibilities

• Prepare and review reinforcement detailing, structural drawings, and BIM models as per UK codes and standards.
• Ensure detailing quality in compliance with BS codes and project specifications.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
• Support the team in resolving complex technical detailing issues.

Team Management

• Lead and guide a team of detailers and modelers.
• Monitor team productivity and ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Conduct technical reviews and provide mentoring to team members.
• Support skill development and training within the detailing team.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all deliverables meet company quality standards and UK detailing guidelines.
• Implement quality checks before submission to clients.
• Ensure documentation and drawing standards are maintained.

Client Coordination:

• Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and progress.
• Address client comments and incorporate feedback into deliverables.
• Maintain strong client communication for smooth project execution.

Reporting:

• Provide weekly project status updates including progress, risks, and resource utilization.
• Escalate project issues to management when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil / Structural Engineering.

Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in structural detailing or BIM detailing.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience handling UK-based projects.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of UK standards and detailing practices.

Proficiency in detailing software such as:

1. AutoCAD
2. Revit
3. Rebar CAD

• Understanding of reinforcement detailing, RC structures, and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination processes.
