Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Plumbing Design Engineer role based in Jharsuguda. The Plumbing Design Engineer will be responsible for designing plumbing and water supply systems for building and infrastructure projects, including preparation of layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings. The role involves performing load calculations, sizing of pipes and equipment, and coordinating with structural, architectural, and MEP teams to ensure integrated and code-compliant designs. The engineer will review project specifications, support preparation of BOQs and technical reports, and assist in estimation and value engineering. Day-to-day activities also include site coordination, reviewing contractor/shop drawings, addressing technical queries, and supporting quality checks to ensure designs are implemented as intended.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Plumbing and Plumbing Design, including system layout, pipe sizing, fixture selection, and compliance with relevant standards and codes.
- Hands-on experience with Water Supply systems design, distribution networks, storage, and pressure management in building and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination, with the ability to integrate plumbing designs with other building services.
- Understanding of Building Services engineering principles, including drainage, rainwater, and related utilities for commercial, residential, or industrial facilities.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, and willingness to work on-site in Jharsuguda as part of a project-focused environment.
- Prior experience in infrastructure or building projects, and familiarity with green building or sustainable design practices is an advantage.
