We are looking for an offshore PLM tester (preferably in Bangalore, India) with Teamcenter Manufacturing module experience for an immediate requirement. Let me know if you have any suitable candidates.
The Role: Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- End-to-End Validation: Execute functional, regression, and integration testing specifically for Teamcenter Manufacturing modules such as MPP, BOP
- Agile Integration: Actively participate in Sprint ceremonies, translating User Stories into robust test cases and ensuring Definition of Done criteria are met.
- Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, log, and prioritize bugs using tools like Jira/Azure DevOps, collaborating with developers to verify fixes.
- Process Optimization: Partner with Business Analysts to understand manufacturing workflows and suggest improvements to the PLM system based on testing insights.
- Automation Strategy: Identify repetitive test scenarios and work toward implementing automated scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
Competences, Skills, and Experience
- PLM Technical Expertise: At least 5 years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter (both Rich Client and Active Workspace).
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Process Planning (MPP) is essential.
- Domain Knowledge: A solid understanding of manufacturing lifecycles, including routings, work instructions, and change management (ECN/ECR).
- Agile Proficiency: Experience working in Scrum or Kanban teams, with the ability to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Testing Rigor: Mastery of test management tools and methodology (STLC). Experience in Test Automation (e.g., Selenium, Teamcenter Test Tool) is highly preferred.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and understand the Digital Thread connecting various engineering systems.
