Job Description
We are looking for an experienced PLM Functional Consultant with expertise in Windchill to support end-to-end PLM implementation programs in the Discrete Manufacturing domain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in business process analysis, solution design, and PLM implementation across engineering and manufacturing functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery workshops to capture business requirements, define current-state (AS-IS) processes, and identify gaps or pain points.
- Design and define TO-BE processes aligned with business transformation goals.
- Architect and configure Windchill solutions, including:
- Product Structure Management
- Change & Configuration Management
- Lifecycle Management
- Workflows and Access Control
- Perform fit-gap analysis and prepare detailed functional solution design documentation.
- Evaluate OOTB (Out-of-the-Box) functionality vs customization and recommend optimal solutions.
- Define integration strategies between Windchill and enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, QMS, and engineering tools.
- Develop and support data migration strategies, including ETL design, data cleansing, validation, and cutover planning.
- Provide support across design, build, testing, and deployment phases ensuring solution quality and performance.
- Participate in UAT planning and execution, defect tracking, and resolution.
- Contribute to release planning, environment strategy, and overall PLM roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in the PLM domain, with at least 1-2 end-to-end Windchill implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes in the Discrete Manufacturing industry.
Hands-on Experience In
- Windchill PLM modules
- Process mapping & requirement gathering
- Fit-gap analysis and solution design
- Experience in data migration, UAT, and cutover planning.
- Exposure to system integrations (ERP, MES, QMS) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
