Location- Bangalore

Work Shift : 5 PM - 2 AM

Job Title: Functional Consultant - Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Location: Madurai/Coimbator/Bengaluru, India

Role Overview

We are hiring a Functional Consultant to support the implementation services of our Product Lifecycle Management solution.

This position will own the implementation lifecycle end‑to‑end, serving as a trusted advisor to customers while translating complex product lifecycle management business requirements into effective system configurations.

This role will lead requirements and design sessions, guide customers through best‑practice PLM workflows, and ensure Aptean's PLM is configured to deliver measurable operational value. This role will work cross‑functionally with technical, project management, and support teams to drive high‑quality, on‑time implementations and strong customer adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customer discovery and requirements workshops, translating business needs into detailed functional designs.
  • Configure and tailor PLM to meet customer's business use cases.
  • Partner with technical teams on integrations, data validation, and system readiness.
  • Deliver end‑user training, workshops, and go‑live support to ensure successful adoption.
  • Plan and execute system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation validation.
  • Own implementation documentation, including functional design specifications and customer-facing deliverables.
  • Act as a primary customer contact during implementation, providing guidance, problem resolution, and ongoing support.
  • Identify risks, scope considerations, and improvement opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on functional experience implementing enterprise-grade PLM systems.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management workflows.
  • 3+ years of experience producing functional design documents and implementation documentation.
  • 3+ years of experience leading customer workshops, training sessions, and UAT.
  • Proven ability to work directly with customers and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate requirements and outcomes
  • Experience with complex or multi‑site PLM implementations.
  • Ability to mentor or support less‑experienced consultants during implementations.
  • Experience working in a global delivery model or supporting international clients
