Position: PLC Programmer (Experienced/Senior)
Location: Faridabad
Salary: 35K-50K
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to design, develop, and maintain automation control systems for industrial applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA integration, and industrial networking, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems in live production environments.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, test, and commission PLC programs and scdna for new and existing automation systems
● Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control system documentation
● Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC-based control systems
● Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers on automation projects
● Conduct on-site commissioning, debugging, and startup support for new installations
● Develop and maintain technical documentation, including control narratives, I/O lists, and program change logs
● Optimize existing PLC logic for improved efficiency, reliability, and safety
● Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment downtime issues
● Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
● 4+ years of hands-on experience programming PLCs (e.g., AllenBradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi)
● Proficiency with ladder logic, function block diagrams, and/or structured text
● Experience with HMI/SCADA platforms (e.g., FactoryTalk, WinCC, Ignition, Wonderware)
● Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, DeviceNet)
● Ability to read electrical schematics and control panel layouts
● Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues
● Willingness to travel to client/plant sites as needed for commissioning and support Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with motion control, robotics integration, or VFDs
● Familiarity with safety PLCs and functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508)
● Knowledge of MES/ERP integration
● Panel design or electrical wiring experience
