Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled PLC Engineer to join our automation and control systems team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting, logic modification, and programming across multiple platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial automation, SCADA/HMI systems, communication protocols, and field device integration to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of automated systems.

Responsibilities

  • PLC Troubleshooting and Programming: Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, modify existing logic, and program PLCs from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, and Omron.
  • SCADA and HMI Systems: Configure, maintain, and update SCADA and HMI systems to ensure efficient operator control and system monitoring.
  • Industrial Automation and Control Systems: Monitor, maintain, and optimize automated production lines, robotic systems, and process control equipment.
  • Field Device Integration: Work with and integrate a wide range of field devices including sensors, actuators, relays, solenoid valves, encoders, and servo motors.
  • Communication Protocols: Configure and troubleshoot various industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, CANbus, and Device Net.
  • Electrical Panel and Control Circuit Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical panels, relay logic systems, MCCs, VFDs, and soft starters.
  • Industrial Networking and Data Logging: Set up and manage IoT-based automation, data acquisition systems, and enable remote system monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Backup and Restore PLC Programs: Ensure all PLC programs are regularly backed up and properly version-controlled to mitigate the risk of system failure.

Requirements

  • PLC programming and industrial automation.
  • Proficiency in working with multiple PLC brands and programming tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and compliance in industrial environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing or process industries.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to industrial control systems.
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies and industrial IoT platforms.
  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
