Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated PLC Programmer / Controls & Automation Engineer to join our automation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems involving PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics, servo drives, and motion control applications.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on advanced automation projects including robotic systems, material handling equipment, AGVs/AMRs, conveyors, and custom machine automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement PLC-based automation systems for industrial applications.
- Program, test, commission, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Configure, tune, and optimize servo drives, VFDs, and motion control systems.
- Develop and maintain multi-axis motion control applications involving synchronization, interpolation, and positioning.
- Integrate and commission robotic systems such as SCARA, Delta, Gantry, and articulated robots.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams for seamless system integration.
- Perform machine commissioning, FAT, SAT, and troubleshooting at factory and customer sites.
- Develop control logic, machine sequences, safety interlocks, and automation workflows.
- Ensure communication between automation devices using industrial protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CAN, and OPC.
- Prepare technical documentation including electrical schematics, IO lists, operating manuals, and project reports.
- Provide technical support for maintenance, upgrades, and optimization of automation systems.
- Participate in R&D and development of innovative automation and robotics solutions.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Delta, or similar PLC platforms.
- Proficiency in HMI and SCADA development.
- Good understanding of industrial automation systems and electrical controls.
- Experience with servo drives, VFDs, and motion controllers.
- Knowledge of robotics integration and automation systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, CAN, and OPC.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in PLC programming, controls engineering, or industrial automation.
