About The Role
We are looking for a Senior PLC/Embedded Systems Engineer to join our growing Industrial Automation practice. Where you'll be building demonstrators and proof-of-concepts that showcase our technical expertise in the industrial automation domain.
This is a
domain-focused role we're looking for someone who understands production environments, shopfloor operations, and industrial automation workflows, beyond just technical programming skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC-based automation solutions and demonstrators for our Beckhoff partnership
- Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for industrial control systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to understand schematics, electronics design, and PCB layouts
- Interface with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and shopfloor systems
- Create technical demonstrations showcasing integration capabilities
- Work with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, solution architects, and clients
- Document technical specifications, system architectures, and integration guides
Required Skills & Experience
Programming & Development:
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming
- Experience with PLC programming (IEC 61131-3 languages: Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram)
- Familiarity with Beckhoff TwinCAT or similar PLC development environments is a plus
Hardware & Electronics
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Understanding of electronics design and PCB layouts
- Experience working with industrial sensors, actuators, and I/O modules
Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of industrial automation concepts and architectures
- Familiarity with shopfloor operations and manufacturing workflows
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) integration
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, OPC-UA, Profinet)
Production Environment
- Experience working in or with large-scale production/manufacturing environments
- Understanding of production line challenges, safety requirements, and operational constraints
Good to Have
- Experience with Beckhoff hardware and TwinCAT 3 development environment
- Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts and IIoT (Industrial IoT)
- Experience with SCADA systems
- Knowledge of safety standards (IEC 62443, functional safety)
Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in PLC programming or industrial automation
