Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Platform / Infrastructure Engineer based in Hyderabad. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, automating, monitoring, and supporting mission-critical infrastructure platforms across Linux, virtualization, container, and cloud-native environments.
The role involves managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, Kubernetes clusters, Docker platforms, Ceph storage infrastructure, KVM virtualization environments, and CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure high availability, reliability, security, and performance of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Manage and maintain KVM/libvirt-based virtualization infrastructure.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
- Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Install, configure, and maintain Ceph storage clusters.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Tekton, ArgoCD, and GitOps methodologies.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible.
- Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, availability, and performance.
- Investigate and resolve platform, infrastructure, networking, and storage issues.
- Implement infrastructure security best practices and patch management procedures.
- Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and platform reliability.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.
- Provide regular reports on infrastructure health, alerts, incidents, and capacity planning.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.
- Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Strong experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
- Experience with Linux virtualization technologies including KVM and libvirt.
- Experience deploying and administering Ceph storage clusters.
- Strong knowledge of Linux networking, storage, security, and performance tuning.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Tekton & ArgoCD.
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Familiarity with high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Experience with cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.
- Experience with HAProxy, NGINX, Keepalived, or load-balancing technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and hybrid cloud environments.
