Platform Engineer:
Design, build, and operate cloud-native infrastructure and delivery pipelines using
Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. Own environments end-to-end and keep them reliable, secure, and automated.
Requirements
Core ResponsibilitiesKubernetes
- Build and operate Kubernetes clusters (EKS / AKS)
- Configure:
Ingress (NGINX / ALB / Application Gateway)
Autoscaling (HPA, cluster autoscaler)
Resource limits, namespaces, and network policies
- Deploy workloads using Helm
- Debug production issues (pods, networking, DNS, scaling)
Infrastructure as Code- Provision cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Write reusable modules for:
Networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, security groups)
Kubernetes and supporting services
- Manage state, environments, and versioning safely
- Apply changes using plan/apply discipline
CI/CD (GitHub Actions)- Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Automate:
Application builds and deployments
Terraform validation and deployment
Kubernetes rollouts
- Implement branch protections, approvals, and environment controls
Cloud & Runtime- Work directly with AWS or Azure
- Configure IAM / Entra roles, secrets, and access controls
- Manage container images and registries
- Ensure environments are reproducible and cost-aware
Observability & Ops- Implement logging, metrics, and alerting
- Troubleshoot live issues and production incidents
- Perform root cause analysis and preventative fixes
Required Technical SkillsMust Have
- Kubernetes (hands-on, production)

- Docker & container fundamentals
- Linux & networking basics
- AWS or Azure

- GitOps (Flux / Argo CD)

- Security hardening and secrets management
