About the role: The platform engineer is responsible for supporting our Windows systems infrastructure across the enterprise to ensure our services are reliable, secure, scalable and performant. The role involves effectively working with other cross-functional teams within the organization to meet business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Deploy and support Windows systems infrastructure and associated services i.e Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS services etc.
- Utilize scripting and programming languages to automate daily tasks
- Leverage infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible or similar technologies to manage the infrastructure
- Participate in incident management processes, quickly identifying and resolving issues. Join in root cause analysis to prevent future incidents
- Analyze and optimize system performance using monitoring and logging tools. Work to improve response times and decrease downtime.
- Collaborate with Cyber security and other teams to remediate vulnerabilities in alignment with policy
- Monitor infrastructure and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes and procedures and share with team
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of experience leveraging automation to manage Windows systems and infrastructure
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Technical experience implementing, managing and supporting windows systems infrastructure
- Experience using one or more programming languages (Python, Powershell)
- Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities; Available on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events.
