Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer – Python / Airflow / Databricks / AWS

Experience: 5–10 Years

Location: Pune (Work from Office – 5 Days Mandatory)

Shift Timing: 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Expected Joining: First Week of July 2026

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Python, Apache Airflow/Astronomer Astro, Databricks, and AWS cloud technologies. The candidate will play a key role in designing, automating, administering, and supporting enterprise-scale cloud platform and data engineering solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on technical expertise, leadership capabilities, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience collaborating with architects, stakeholders, and distributed global teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, and support scalable platform engineering solutions using Python
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Apache Airflow DAGs within Astronomer Astro environments
• Administer and integrate Databricks environments including: Workspaces Clusters Jobs Notebooks Unity Catalog
• Manage and support AWS cloud services including: IAM EKS S3 Lambda Secrets Manager CloudWatch Networking components
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Harness and GitOps methodologies
• Design reusable self-service onboarding frameworks and platform automation capabilities
• Ensure cloud security, governance, compliance, and best practices
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, integrations, platform, and application-related issues
• Collaborate with onshore architects, engineering teams, and client stakeholders
• Drive operational excellence, documentation, monitoring, and continuous improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10 years of overall IT experience
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python development for automation and platform engineering
• Extensive experience with Apache Airflow and/or Astronomer Astro
• Strong Databricks administration and integration experience
• Strong AWS cloud experience including IAM, EKS, S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and networking
• Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Experience in CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Harness and GitOps methodologies
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM roles/policies, governance, and secrets management
• Experience building reusable platform services and self-service onboarding workflows
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in enterprise-scale global delivery environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud data platforms
• Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized deployments
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools
• Strong understanding of DevOps and Platform Engineering best practices
• AWS and/or Databricks certifications preferred
