About the role:

The Platform Engineer will be responsible for managing and automating our file transfer workflows, maintaining system security, and monitoring system alerts. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and security of our infrastructure, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to address issues as they arise.

You will:

• You will manage and scale cloud infrastructure on AWS in a Linux-based environment, bringing 6+ years of expertise in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles.
• You will partner with development teams, cross-functional teams, and cross-org stakeholders to provide day-to-day support on DevOps activities, including environment setup, build/deployment troubleshooting, and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
• You will develop backend systems with strong proficiency in TypeScript, Java, Python, Node.js, and SQL-based RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, leveraging AWS CDK.
• You will automate and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation implemented through AWS CDK (TypeScript).
• You will design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and GitHub Actions to enable frequent and reliable software delivery.
• You will implement observability and monitoring solutions such as Datadog, New Relic, or equivalent, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and system anomalies.
• You will apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and incident response across production environments.
• You will debug and troubleshoot issues across application layers, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure components.
• You will collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and support teams—both internally and externally—demonstrating excellent communication and partnership skills.

You have:

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role, with deep expertise in managing and scaling cloud infrastructure on AWS in a Linux-based environment.
• 3+ years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in TypeScript, Java, Python, Node.js, and SQL-based RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Proven experience in infrastructure automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI) to support frequent, reliable software delivery.
• Proficient in using observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or equivalent—capable of proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks or system anomalies.
• Demonstrated success in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices: ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and incident response across production environments.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application layers, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure components.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering, product, and support teams—both internally and externally.
