About the Job

Position: Platform Architect

Location: Gurgaon

Role Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced Platform Architect to design and implement scalable, high-performance data platforms. This role is responsible for translating business and technical requirements into cost-effective, robust architecture solutions while collaborating across engineering, data, and product teams.

Must have

12+ years in platform engineering / architecture roles

Strong programming expertise in:

• Python
• Java
• RUST

Deep expertise in Big Data ecosystems:

• Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Sqoop
• Distributed data processing concepts

Hands-on experience with:

• AWS, Azure, OpenShift
• PostgreSQL
• Elasticsearch
• Messaging systems (e.g., Kafka/RabbitMQ)

Strong experience with:

• Microservices architecture
• Distributed systems design
• Advanced SQL skills with strong performance tuning experience

Good to have

Experience with Apache Spark (architecture and optimization)

Exposure to AI/ML platforms or frameworks (MLOps, model serving, etc.)

Experience with:

• Power BI
• Azure Data Factory
• Power Apps

Knowledge of real-time streaming architectures

Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization ecosystems

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of large-scale data platforms and distributed systems.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and data scientists to define:

• Data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
• Data models, formats, and metadata strategies
• Workload orchestration for batch and real-time systems

Architect AI-ready data platforms enabling model training, inference, and feature engineering

Lead development of microservices-based, scalable distributed systems

Drive performance optimization across:

• SQL systems (PostgreSQL, Hive, etc.)
• Search platforms (Elasticsearch)
• Data pipelines and processing layers

Define best practices for cloud-native architectures on AWS, Azure, and OpenShift

Ensure platform scalability, resilience, observability, and cost efficiency

Provide technical leadership in Big Data ecosystem and DevOps practices
