Platform Architect

The project involves architecting a multi-product trading platform that supports CFDs, spread betting, stock trading through IBKR, cryptocurrency trading, and derivatives such as options and futures. The Platform Architect will design a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture optimized for scalability, resilience, and global availability across regions, including Singapore, Australia, Japan, and the UAE. The role includes defining event-driven patterns using Kafka, establishing integration frameworks for third-party providers such as IBKR, Coinbase, and payment gateways, and setting the standards for API gateway and security architecture. The architect will create comprehensive platform and data-flow documentation, ensure adherence to compliance requirements, and drive performance and latency optimization. Additionally, they will develop a migration roadmap to transition from legacy systems to a modern, multi-region trading ecosystem.

Your tasks

• Designing a unified, cloud-native microservices architecture for a multi-product trading platform
• Integrating third-party providers such as IBKR, Coinbase, and payment gateways into the platform ecosystem
• Implementing event-driven communication and data pipelines using Kafka
• Developing multi-region deployment strategies across Singapore, Australia, Japan, and the UAE
• Creating platform documentation, API standards, and security/compliance frameworks

Requirements

• Strong expertise in designing scalable microservices architectures
• Solid cloud-native experience on AWS with multi-region deployment capabilities
• Experience in building event-driven systems using Kafka is essential
• Proficient in integrating third-party providers such as IBKR, Coinbase, and payment gateways
• Strong skills in API architecture, security design, and compliance frameworks
