The Position

Solution/Platform Architect - Data Platforms

Preferred Location: Pune

The Opportunity:

The Platform Architect for Data Experience & BI Platforms is responsible for the design, development, and oversight of the organization's BI architecture. This role ensures the BI platforms are robust, scalable, secure, and meets the data and analytics needs of the business, enabling actionable insights and strategic decision-making. The Platform Architect would contribute to our mission to deliver a frictionless insight experience by making data easy to discover, understand, and use-through trusted, governed, and conversational access to unified enterprise knowledge for both people and AI agents.

As the Platform Architect - Data Platforms, you are responsible for:

  • Platform Strategy and Design: Define the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for the entire BI ecosystem, including Insights, Reporting Tools and Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, data ingestion pipelines. Select and recommend appropriate BI technologies to meet business requirements and performance standards.

  • Architecture Implementation: Oversee the configuration and integration of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) with various data sources.

  • Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Drive the adoption of AI and conversational analytics into the BI landscape investigate and evaluate new AI solutions to enhance data experience and platform capabilities

  • Performance and Optimization: Monitor the BI platform's performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in data loading, query execution, and reporting. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and access control.

  • Collaboration and Guidance: Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical design specifications. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to BI developers and data engineering teams.

  • Standards and Governance: Establish standards and procedures for data quality, data lineage, and metadata management within the BI environment. Stay current with industry trends and emerging BI technologies to continuously improve the platform.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) working in business intelligence, data warehousing and data architecture roles, with significant time spent in an architect capacity.

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale, complex BI solutions using cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift).

Technical / Business Skills

  • Expertise with one or more major BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Thoughtspot)

  • Experience with SaaS Platforms, AWS Platforms

  • Understanding of DWH / Data Lakes / RDBMS / OLTPS & OLAPS

  • Good understanding of AI integration patterns( LLM integrations, MCP concepts)

  • Familiarity with data governance, security principles, and compliance standards including SIEM

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and influence strategic decisions.

Additional Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive consensus on solutions and navigate conflicts to achieve alignment.

  • Fluent English due to job nature
