Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Plastic Surgeon role based in the Kutch district. The Plastic Surgeon will perform reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, including pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up for a diverse patient population. Daily responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, reviewing diagnostic reports, counseling patients on treatment options and risks, and performing surgeries in accordance with clinical guidelines and safety protocols. The role involves close collaboration with anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other specialists to provide integrated care, manage complications, and ensure accurate clinical documentation. The Plastic Surgeon is expected to participate in case discussions, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support training and education activities within the clinical team.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Medicine and Surgery, with the ability to manage pre-, intra-, and post-operative care
  • Advanced skills in Plastic Surgery, including reconstructive procedures for congenital, traumatic, and post-oncologic conditions
  • Competence in Cosmetic Surgery, with a focus on safe practices, realistic outcomes, and ethical patient counseling
  • Experience or training in Microsurgery, particularly in tissue transfer, nerve repair, or complex reconstructive work
  • Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed residency or specialist training in Plastic Surgery
  • Valid medical license and relevant board certification or eligibility as per local regulatory requirements
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to infection control and safety standards
  • Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Willingness to live and work on-site in the Kutch district and to participate in emergency and on-call duties as required
